Well, been an interesting week for us. The a/c cut out on us thursday and we woke up to a not so comfortable house on the friday... the fourth of July! Called the landlady who called her a/c person yes! they did come out. But it started to pour! The poor guy worked and got it running and it ran a few hours, but stopped working around 8 PM. So I called the landlady and then called the a/c place and left a message. The guy came back today and said the rain got in his way yesterday and he wasn't sure he had the freon level set right. So he worked on it again today and even came back later to check to make sure the levels were maintained. So far so good. It's cold in here! He needed to put in a new compressor which cost them a pretty penny.
Last friday the neighbors on the right shot off some heavy duty fireworks. They were so big I had to go out and ask them to stop and they did. They were scaring the other neighbors the things were so loud and flying so far. Found a bunch of their empties on the lawn and even in the backyard! of the house on the other side of me, the next day. They did realize they were packing too much power for this little neighborhood and quit without an argument. So, I was waiting to see if they would do it again last night, but all we had was the big one at Dillon Park, not too far from us, and nothing else. It poured and I think that put a damper on most peoples plans for fireworks.
We tried to watch Independence Day but a movie we once enjoyed we now find a bit irritating and some of the characters annoying. So, we never finished that and it's been a tradition with us. Not sure if we're changing or if we've just seen it so many times that now we know the movie so are paying more attention to the other nuances of the movie.
So, hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable weekend and hope our a/c stays on for more than 3 hours this time!
